235° Panoramic Image of Cliffs

Torrey Pines Cliffs

Shot at Torrey Pines, in San Diego County, it comprises of about eight images that are stitched together using Hugin and PanoTools. I love the fisheye look, but a dedicated fisheye lens is not required for landscapes, as you can just take a series of images and have the software do the calculations and matching for you.

This group of images is part of a full 360° Panorama, but I am still tweaking the alignment of the images in Hugin. I believe that I would have less manual tweaking to do if I actually used a tripod for this series of shots. Hugin and PanoTools automatically try to fix many of your errors and knowing this, I am sometimes careless when shooting the original images, however this time it seems that Hugin and PanoTools can't help me with my faulty images, and I must manually fix my hasty effort.
