This is the first time I’ve attempted to create smooth transitions between the mounting points and tubes of a trellis frame. If I were to create a rough analogy, the trellis frame would be like a model of the Golden Gate Bridge while the box aluminium frame of most other bikes would be like a country bridge made of two by fours. I’ve got to say that the transitions turned out buttery smooth and I can’t wait to see what they look like when a shiny orange or black coat of paint adorns the frame. I may even add a normal map to mimic welding beads.

The other updates you can see are mostly iterative updates to the detailing of other parts too numerous to mention. I will point your attention to the recessed mounting fixtures on the front fender however.

If you like what you see, be sure to comment and get a conversation going. It’s always great to hear critique of my modeling processes.
